Samsung Electronics is thrilled to announce a job opportunity in Vancouver, Canada, under a hybrid work arrangement. We are actively seeking a highly enthusiastic Technical Program Manager to join our dynamic Business-Driven department. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex software and system development projects throughout their entire lifecycle – from requirement identification to production deployment.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the global Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) team to manage a wide-scale program, requiring strong program management, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
- Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with teams including Product Management, Business, Engineering, and Executives across multiple geographic regions to achieve timely and high-quality project completion.
- Identify improvement opportunities and risks in engineering practices, processes, and project organization, including removing barriers and managing change impacts.
- Analyze data, set achievable targets, and propose service enhancements.
- Provide visibility and transparency into project status, issues, schedule, and manage project outputs.
- Embrace Scrum methodology, Agile practices, and conduct Scrum meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management or project management in a complex multi-site environment.
- Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes and methodologies, software engineering experience preferred.
- Cloud services experience (including AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Mongo, etc. is an asset.
- Proven track record of successful software application delivery.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and leadership.
- Good organizational, communication, and report preparation skills.
- Ability to thrive under tight project deadlines.
