The MRC’s Humanitarian Response to the 2023 Marrakech-Essaouira Earthquake
In the aftermath of the September 8, 2023 earthquake in Marrakech-Essaouira, the MRC, with support from the IFRC, has initiated a robust response and recovery plan. This comprehensive plan encompasses relief distribution, shelter provision, water and sanitation projects, community health programs, first aid, and psychosocial support.
Collaborative Support
The MRC’s efforts are bolstered by collaborations with the IFRC and the German Red Cross (CRA). This partnership ensures a unified and effective response to disasters, emphasizing a community-driven and collaborative approach to risk reduction.
